Missions

First Baptist of Eufaula is a Great Commission Church taking seriously Jesus' command to go into all the world and preach the Good News.  Our congregation is a mission minded church.  We pray for missions, give to missions, learn about missions and go into the world.

Pray

Every Wednesday night we pray for missionaries who have birthdays on that day.  We make available to our congregation material that includes the Missionary Prayer Calendar.  Also, we observe two special Seasons of Prayer for missions.  The Season of Prayer for International Missions during the month of December, and the Season of Prayer for North American Missions during the month before Easter.  Also, there are special times of prayer when our people are on mission trips.

Give

Our church gives 15% of our regular offerings to the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention.  A large portion of that money goes to missions.  Also, we observe two special offerings during the year; The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions.

Learn

Through our Woman's Missionary Union and Baptist Men, we offer missions education for all ages.  Each Wednesday night during the school year at 6:15 p.m. our children meet. We offer Mission Friends for ages 3 - 5, Girls in Action for girls 1st - 6th grades, Royal Ambassadors for boys 1st - 6th grades.  The groups meet at the church.

Night Women on Mission meets every 2nd Tuesday night of every month (September - May) at 6:00 p.m. at a member's home.

Contemporary Women on Mission meets every 3rd Monday night of every month (September - May) at 7:00 p.m. at a member's home.

Contact the church office at 334-687-2045 or Ellen Dewberry at 334-687-3131 for more information.

Go

Each year our adults go on a mission trip somewhere in the world.  Watch this space for information regarding the next trip.

Our youth go on a World Changers project each year through the North American Mission Board.

There are opportunities for everyone to be involved in missions.  It's up to you.
